  • OBJECTIVES
    The main topic in this course is Optimization. This refers to the selection of a best element or action from some set of alternatives.
    
    The main objectives of this course are:
    
    · To understand the importance of Mathematical Optimization and Decision Making in Business.

    · To learn to model mathematically decision making situations, and to make (hypothetical) decisions departing from mathematical results.

    · To know mathematical concepts, methods and techniques applied to Optimization and basic Decision Making in Business.

    · To deal with software used to these kind of mathematical situations.

    · To make decisions for easy simulated situations.
